The Step UP monthly winners for May and June are both employees of the Spokane Club who participated in the Club’s walking challenge. Congratulations to Rose Peters (background right) and Jacqueline Callahan (foreground right) who were among 18 employees in the “Be active. Have fun.” competition. Rose and Jacqueline are pictured with Spokane Club Data Project Manager, Jennifer Day (foreground left) who came up with the wellness challenge and kept employees excited about it!
Rose is a marathon runner who got Jacqueline interested in running. Now, Jacqueline is training for her first half-marathon! Both women used the Step UP physical activity tracker to log their miles and say that accountability helped keep them going. So did the Club’s commitment to an employee wellness program that included prizes for continued tracking of steps and weight loss, and corresponding successes in more physical activity and most weight loss.
Both Rose and Jacqueline were eligible for the Step UP monthly prize because they tracked their physical activity at least 10 times each month. Way to go, and enjoy your healthy cookbook! Thanks to the Central Valley school district for providing the cookbooks which were created by a wellness committee to give CV employees ideas for quick, easy, and nutritious meals.
Again, congrats to Rose and Jacqueline, way to stay active! And thanks to the Spokane Club for partnering with Step UP in providing new ways to be active and have fun to your employees!
