How much sleep do you need?

Not getting enough sleep negatively effects your mood, leads to lethargy, may cause lack of concentration and critical thinking, reduced the ability to absorb knowledge,  and lead to difficulty communicating. When you don’t get the right amount of sleep (even missing just one hour) you are 25-50 percent less productive throughout the day.  A healthy diet can also help you get better sleep. For better sleep:

  • Try not to eat after 7:00 PM.
  •  Consume small meals throughout the day instead of three large meals at breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • Stay hydrated with water.
  • Avoid spicy foods and caffeinated drinks in the later afternoon and evening hours.
